I had a Interior Bowel resection done April 2005. After the surgey I developed an infection and had to go to an infectious disease control center for medicine to remove the infectious disease by IV. After that episode I was told to see if I developed a fever and a nausea . A few times I came close, and still monitor it with the help of mom who is a retired RN. As of now I am developing a motion sickness along with stress while we are driving in the car, mom or my sister is driving the car. I have heard of people who have developed an aversion of riding in the car. After the operation I happened to feel nausea while someone was driving the auto. I would go have some coffee while at the grocery store and walk around. I would also go for walks, ride a bicycle, somehow to rid the nausea. As of now being in my mid-50's I have reduced coffee when I go shopping. Instead I drink mint tea or peppermint tea. This helps some. Sometimes I can't get to it and have bear it. I would like to know if others have had this problem after surgey like the one I had and what have they done about it. To relieve the stress of the motion sickness while driving in the car, and when you are not in the car and are about . I am under Dr's care, and plan to see my physician about it soon.
