Default Blepharoplasty – Eyelid Surgery

Blepharoplasty is a common cosmetic surgery, intended at reshaping the lower or upper eyelid. This essentially involves removal of excess tissue and treating the surrounding tendons and muscles. Most often people undergo this surgery to treat drooping eyelids or baggy layer of skin under the eyes.

In order to undergo this surgery, the candidate must preferably be nearly 35 years of age and must be healthy and emotionally fit. People with dry eyes, diabetes, cardiovascular problems and other related problems are normally excluded from such surgeries.

Though, there are numerous people undergoing this surgery each day, just like any other surgery, this too has its own side-effects. Most people experience dry, burning eyes or blurred vision for a couple of days. However, this can easily be cured within a few days with the help of lubricating eye drops. Still, the best way to avoid such problems is to consult a good surgeon right in the beginning of the surgery.

It is important to keep in mind the limited time this surgery's results last... a few years - and then there is a need for a do-over surgery.

Make sure the surgeon has recommendations in the specific technique he will use for your procedure

Hi Everyone

This is really nice thread, got good info on blepharoplasty.

I want to ask you, is it ok to have both face lift and eyelid lift at same time ? is it more effective if eyelid lift is performed with face lift surgery ?

Well i have decided to visit Dr amiya prasad in garden city New York, but before that was curious to know all this info from experienced ppl.

Please tell more about SMAS-ectomy face lift, I read about it on http://www.realfacelift.com

Thanks in Advance

Default Blepharoplasty Surgery India

Blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery) is a specialized cosmetic surgery for eyelid. The changes in the eye lid caused by droopy or saggy skin as well as bags around the eye can be corrected by eye lid surgery, intended at reshaping the lower or upper eyelid. This essentially involves removal of excess tissue and treating the surrounding tendons, muscles and fat. Most often people undergo this surgery to treat drooping eyelids or baggy layer of skin under the eyes.

We all are having different mind sets about cosmetic surgery. Some consider it as an enhancement to beauty while some don’t think so. Everyone has his or her own views. Basically Cosmetic surgery in Miami is all about getting rid of damages like scars or any birthmarks.
