Default Some Homely Tips for Good Hairs

If you want to improve your hair quality or deal with other hair problems and that too without spending much, you got to try out some thing at home. So here are some homely tips for you to take care of your self.
  1. Eat healthy and iron, protein rich food.
  2. Try and avoid using chemicals on your hairs.
  3. Apply hair mask according to your hair type. For dry hairs egg is good and lemon for oily scalp. The hair packs can be made at home or they are also available very easily in the market.
  4. Massage your hair regularly with coconut and olive oil if possible. For dry and falling hairs, a mixture of olive oil and castor oil is very good.
  5. While going to bed do not forget to comb your hair and leave it open while sleeping as tied hairs are tend to break more.
  6. Drink at least 2 liters of water everyday so that there is no liquid deficiency in your body. Fruit juices and coconut water is also very good for hairs. It keeps the moisture level of your body balanced.
  7. Loosing 100 strands a day is very normal but if you loose more than that hair you must contact a dermatologist immediately.

Try to avoid daily washing. The sebaceous glands are overstimulated, secreting more grease onto the hair. This creates a vicious circle where the more you wash is the greasier it becomes.
Keep your hair well conditioned with a rich moisturising product. The hairstyle is also important. If your hair is very frizzy you don't want too many layers. Have a few longish ones that will allow your hair to flow. Always use a diffuser when blowdrying which will help control the frizz but will not remove all the body.

hey,

I have been facing the same problems. recently came across an article on timeswellness.com which described about herbs good for the scalp.

between have you tried a fruity shampoo like herbal Essenes or tried washing your hair in luke warm water. Your scalp might just be sweating with the heat.

take care

Red face Well, I'm on saw palmetto, proscar, and nizoral shampoo for hair loss!

Hi everyone

I suffer from hair loss, and I'm on a regimen of proscar, saw palmetto, and shampoo containing olive oil for hair loss, so I don't know how it's all working, as I'm on this for only like 4 months.

I'm considering using laser therapy as well. There's a website here on a laser for hair loss, with a good article on the issue in general.

Here are my tips:

Here are top foods and vitamins to reverse hair thinning and promote healthy hair growth:

•Vitamin A: (found in fish liver oil, spinach, broccoli, cabbage, carrots, apricots and peaches). This vitamin provides healthy scalp sebum.
Daily dose: 5,000 IU.

Attention: Consuming more than 25,000 IU of vitamin A daily is toxic and can cause hair loss and other serious health problems.

•Vitamin B 3, or Niacin (found in brewer's yeast, wheat germ and fish):
It boosts scalp circulation.

Daily dose: 15 mg.

•Vitamin B 5, or Pantothenic acid (whole grain cereals, brewer's yeast and egg yolks) prevents graying and hair fall.
Daily dose: 4 - 7 mg..

•Vitamin B 6 (brewer's yeast, whole grain cereals, vegetables and egg yolks) is helpful in prevention of hair thinning and in the production of melanin that gives hair its color.
Daily dose: 1.6 mg.

• Vitamin B 12 (fish and eggs) assists to stop hair loss.
Daily dose: 2 mg.

•Vitamin C (citrus fruits, strawberries, kiwi, cantaloupe, pineapple, tomatoes, green peppers, potatoes and dark green veggies). This amazing antioxidant promotes healthy skin and hair.
Daily dose: 60 mg.

•Vitamin E (cold-pressed vegetable oils, wheat germ oil, soybeans, raw seeds and nuts, dried beans, and leafy green veggies). This antioxidant does increase scalp circulation.
Daily dose: about 400 IU.
